Nia Jones joined Swansea City Women ahead of the 2024-25 Genero Adran Premier campaign, bringing a wealth of experience to the Swans backline.

The centre-half received 30 international caps with Wales, and was named FAW Young Player of the Year in 2011.

Jones previously spent five years playing with Cardiff City Ladies (now Gwalia), winning two Women’s Welsh Cups with the club.

She would then make the move to Reading Women, helping the Royals to the WSL2 title.

From there she joined Yeovil Town Women in 2017 for the WSL Spring Series, where she worked with current Swansea City Women’s first team manager Jamie Sherwood.

In addition to her footballing exploits, Jones is also a highly accomplished netball player, featuring for Wales in the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2018, as well as winning the 2013 Netball Europe Open Championship, before retiring from the sport in 2024.

Jones was also a regular for Wales netball, featuring in the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as winning the 2013 Netball Europe Open Championship, retiring from the sport in 2024.
