Yzzy Taylor | Every player played their part in earning three points

Assistant manager Yzzy Taylor felt Swansea City Women fully deserved the three points after Steph Turner’s 88th minute goal earned a 2-1 win away at Cardiff Met.
After a frustrating first half for the Swans, Taite Trivett’s low cross forced Ceyln Garton to turn the ball past her goalkeeper and into the net to give the visitors the lead.
Ten minutes later the Archers were level, India Shanahan volleying into the top corner with nine minutes left to play.
But, with just two minutes left of the game, defender Turner arrived to turn in Trivett’s cross and take all three points.
Taylor was delighted to see the Swans bring an end to a run of six games without a win, and praised the entire squad.
“It’s been a long time coming,” said Taylor.
“That feeling of scoring in the 88th minute is superb, but I think it was thoroughly deserved from the performance.
“From one to 16, all the players were really important and it’s a really positive result.
“Steph [Turner] created some good moments when she went onto the pitch in a slightly different position to what she’s used to, but she did well, she was in the right place at the right time and it was a really important finish.
“I thought Taite [Trivett] was superb today, she dominated her one-on-ones, she made the right decisions when needed and looked positive every time she got the ball.
“We were able to get her in a wider area today and I think she really showed us what she can bring to the squad.
“I think it was a little bit frustrating to go into half time at 0-0, but we knew we were creating those moments and that it would come.
“But we were feeling positive that we would be able to create two or three moments where we could score goals.”
