Youngsters offered pro contracts
Swansea City have offered five of its Youth Academy scholars their first one-year professional contracts at the Liberty.
After impressing in the club's youth set-up this campaign, Corey Francis, Tom Atyeo, Joseph Jones, Alex Samuel and Connor Roberts have all been offered contracts for next season.
Aside from Samuel, a striker from Aberystwyth who joined the Academy three years ago, all four youngsters are from the Swansea area and make up part of the club's Under-18s squad.
"From our perspective, it's fantastic to have five local boys coming through the system," said Academy Manager Nigel Rees. "It's a very exciting time for them because they have worked hard to earn these contracts."
