Young Swans learn Checkatrade Trophy draw
Swansea City’s under-21s will face AFC Wimbledon, Charlton and Stevenage in round one of the 2018-19 Checkatrade Trophy.
The Group G draw sees the young Swans face Charlton for a second successive season in the competition after they lost out against the Addicks at the Liberty Stadium in round two last term.
Swansea were once again one of 16 invited under-21 teams drawn against 48 EFL clubs from League One and Two in predetermined northern and southern section groups.
The under-21s defeated League Two sides Cheltenham Town, Newport County and Forest Green last season to progress from the group stage before the Charlton defeat.
In 2016-17, the Swans progressed to the quarter-final stage of the competition before a penalty shootout defeat against Coventry City, who went on to lift the title.
Dates and ticket details for the games will be announced soon.
