Winger's Wales wish
Daniel James hopes his "ultimate goal" is within sight after landing a call-up to the senior Wales squad.
James has been summoned by national boss Ryan Giggs for the Nations League clash against Denmark in Cardiff on Friday, November 16 and the friendly trip to Albania four days later.
The Swansea City youngster has been rewarded for his impressive club form, with James claiming four assists in his last three appearances.
James was a late addition to the Welsh senior squad after a number of withdrawals for the game in Ireland last month
Now the 20-year-old has been included by Giggs at the first time of asking - and has sights set on a first senior cap.
“I’ve come through the system with Wales and the ultimate goal is to earn a first senior cap," James said.
“I have to keep doing well at club level and hopefully I’ll get a chance.
“There were a lot of young players in the team against Ireland, so it shows the manager has faith in the youngsters.
“The manager is great. He speaks in depth on a one-to-one basis and I took a lot from my last call-up.
“He inspired everyone as a player. He played in the Premier League until the age of 40, so it shows how good a career he had.
“As he was a winger for the vast majority of his career it is great for someone like me because I can learn so much from him.”
