Williams named scholar of the year
Recognised for his consistent high-quality performances on the pitch – as well as his excellent attitude towards the education component off it – Williams was presented with the award by England manager Gareth Southgate.
The under-18s midfielder received the accolade at Craven Cottage - home of Championship side Fulham - where sports presenters Jacqui Oatley and Seema Jaswal were also in attendance.
Williams, who has been with the Swans since under-eight level, made 20 appearances for the under-18s in Premier League South during the 2018-19 season, as well as helping the under-19s to FAW Youth Cup glory.
He also played three times for the under-23s – appearing against Oxford United and Wolves in the Premier League Cup, before making his Premier League 2 debut as a late substitute in the 3-1 defeat away at Manchester City.
