Swansea City got their 2019-20 Championship campaign off to a winning start as they came from behind to beat Hull City 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Here, we take a look at some of the key facts and figures from the weekend’s game.

3 – Three players made their Swansea City debuts. Freddie Woodman and Jake Bidwell started for the Swans, while Kristoffer Peterson made his bow from the bench. Ben Wilmot was the only summer acquisition not to get out on the field.

5 - Five of the last seven permanent Swansea City bosses have won their first league game in charge after Steve Cooper marked his bow with victory. Bob Bradley and Paul Clement are the two exceptions, both losing their first league games against Arsenal.

7 – This was Swansea City’s first win over Hull in seven attempts. The hosts had last beaten the Tigers in April 2015, when a Bafetimbi Gomis brace ensured a 3-1 Premier League victory.

12 – Saturday’s second-half comeback means the Swans have extended their unbeaten run on home soil in the Championship to 12 games. They have not lost a league game in SA1 since Aston Villa’s success on Boxing Day 2018.

George Byers

25 – George Byers made his 25th first-team appearance since his debut against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup last season.

50 – Matt Grimes skippered Swansea City for the first time on what was his 50th league appearance for the club since his arrival from Exeter in January 2015.

570 – Swansea City completed 570 passes successfully against the Tigers, at a completion rate of 82.8 per cent.

950 – For Borja Baston this was his first league start for Swansea City in 950 days. His last inclusion in the starting XI had been against West Ham on Boxing Day 2016.

1,022 – His second-half header was the Spaniard’s first Swansea goal since his close-range effort in defeat to Arsenal in October 2016, some 1,022 days previously.
