U23s to play semi-final this Friday
Swansea City Under-23s will face Sheffield United in the semi-final of the Premier League Cup at Landore this Friday, April 27 (7pm).
An heroic double penalty save from goalkeeper Steven Benda – one in extra time, the other during a shootout – helped the young Swans continue their title defence with a victory over Brighton earlier this month.
The Blades, who have category two academy status, finished second in Group E before victories over Derby and Newcastle put them in the hat for the last four of the competition.
The winners will face either Leicester City or Aston Villa in the final in May.
Entry to Friday’s game will be FREE, but fans are reminded there is no parking at Landore training ground.
