Ki calls on Swans to grow up ahead of Manchester City test
KI Sung-Yueng has admitted Swansea City must "grow up" when they face the big clubs ahead of Saturday's clash with Manchester City.
Swansea's sequence without a Premier League win stretched to six games last weekend thanks to a 2-0 defeat by Chelsea.
And though Michael Laudrup's men have enjoyed some success against the top sides this season, Ki concedes there is room for improvement.
Swansea stunned Chelsea in the Capital One Cup semi-final in January, while they have also chalked up famous wins over Arsenal and Liverpool and took a point off Manchester United. But Swansea know at least one more landmark result may be required this term if they are to achieve their top-ten target.
"When we play against the best players and best teams in the league, we have to grow up," said former Celtic midfielder Ki.
"This year we have done it at times - we have got some big results.
"And even if we have lost games, we have dominated parts of matches and we have learned a lot from the experiences.
"But we have got to be more mature when we play the big clubs.
"We have Manchester City and Manchester United coming up. They are tough games, but it is a good finish to the season for us."
Swansea, meantime, have received a boost in their bid to keep hold of Ashley Williams after it emerged Liverpool are close to signing Reading centre-back Alex Pearce. The Reds, along with Arsenal, have been heavily linked with a summer bid for Williams, but their interest could cool if they land Pearce, who will be available on a free transfer as his contract is about to expire.

Granada defender Inigo Lopez weighs up Premier League after Swans link
Inigo Lopez is considering a summer switch to the Premier League after the Granada defender was linked with a move to Swansea City.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at Granada at the end of the season and is reported to have rejected a new deal.
Reports have claimed that Swansea manager Michael Laudrup is plotting another raid on La Liga after signing the likes of Chico and Pablo Hernandez since taking charge at the Liberty Stadium.
Lopez is quoted in The Sun: "I want to play and would like to go to England.
"I've many friends there and have to consider it with other proposals."
Newly-relegated Queens Park Rangers and Reading are also reportedly interested in the centre-half, who was rumoured to be a target for Birmingham, Ipswich and Wolves in the January transfer window.
