Three academy players to represent Wales at 2024 Victory Shield

Carter Heywood, Alfie Jones and Alex Godfrey have been called up to represent Wales Under-16s in this year's Victory Shield in Scotland.
Wales, who were joint winners of the competition in 2019 and 2021, will face three games in the space of six days, starting against Northern Ireland on Tuesday, October 8.
Their second fixture will take place against holders the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, October 10 before they conclude the tournament against the hosts on Sunday, October 13.
All fixtures will get under way at 3.30pm and take place at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld.
The Victory Shield is a prestigious tournament held annually, with hosting rotated among the four participating nations.
