Thomas Woodward is full of confidence after netting his second hat-trick of the season to help Swansea City Under-18s secure a dramatic 5-1 victory over their Birmingham City counterparts.

The Swans had trailed at the interval but Woodward drew them level just after the break, before Billy Clarke gave them the lead in the closing stages and Harvey Gray soon added a third Swansea goal.

Woodward then struck twice in quick succession to round off the scoring and complete his second hat-trick of the campaign.

The 18-year-old is now on 17 goals across all age-groups in all competitions, and also has two goals to his name for Wales Under-19s.

"It's always a great feeling to get a hat-trick, especially my second of the season. It's given me lots of confidence as I haven't scored in a while," said Woodward.

"As soon as I got two, I knew I had to push on to get a third. We all play together as a team, and they all play a part in my goals, especially the substitutes who came on.

"I've had a lot of experience with the under-21s this season, and I love playing with these boys, especially when we all stick together to comeback and win 5-1. They were all great.

"There's not many games left now, and I want to push for more goals and contributions to finish strongly, I don't think I'll reach 30 like I did last season, but I'll give it my best shot!"
