Taite Trivett | Swansea City have the professionalism and standards I wanted
Taite Trivett is excited for a new challenge after joining Swansea City Women ahead of the 2024-25 Genero Adran Premier season.
Trivett becomes the Swans' sixth summer signing, signing her first semi-professional deal.
Trivett joins after a short trial period with the Swans, having played in a number of positions across pre-season friendlies, netting twice in the Swans 10-1 win over Limerick.
The forward is excited to be joining the side and cites the professionalism of Swansea City as a key draw for her.
“I’m really excited to be here and I’m really looking forward to the new season starting,” said Trivett.
“I’m really proud to be signing a semi-professional deal, it’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and to do it with a club like Swansea is a really proud moment.
“I wanted to be a part of a club that has the professionalism and the standards that Swansea City has, so it was something that I wanted to do for myself to be a part of a club like this."
The 20-year-old joins from Barry Town United Women where she began her footballing journey, having netted 14 goals in 64 appearances.
“I was with Barry from a young age so I’m really grateful for everything they have given me," added Trivett.
“It’s been really good few weeks with the team, it’s been a positive start, the atmosphere is really good so I’m looking forward to the season.
“The team have really welcomed me, as have the coaching staff, so it’s all been really positive.
“It’s an exciting new challenge for me, I really want to be here to improve myself.
“Swansea is a successful club and it’s a talented group of players so I’m glad to now be a part of that.
“I will play where I am put, Jamie [Sherwood] has had the belief in me to put me in different positions and I’ll try my best wherever I’m asked to play.
“I’m energetic, I’m a tenacious player and a hard worker for the team.
“Conversations with Jamie have been really good, it’s a team that I really want to be a part of and everyone has been really welcoming and positive towards me.”
