Taite Trivett | Everyone stuck to the task at hand
Swansea City Women's forward Taite Trivett praised her side's determination after they made it four wins in a row with a 3-1 victory over Aberystwyth Town Women.
Trivett was involved in the first two Swansea goals, setting up Nia Jones to head home, before forcing Josie Pugh to put the ball into her own net 20 minutes later with a similar delivery.
Aberystwyth pulled one back before the break as Lily Moralee-Hughes capitalised on a mix up at the back, but a long-range strike from Maddy Murray would seal the win late on.
Trivett was delighted to see her side reach four league wins on the bounce for the first time this season, and they are aiming to round the campaign off on a high when they host the same opponents this weekend.
“It was a really physical test, but everyone pushed through all the way to the end,” said Trivett.
“I’m really happy that the coaching staff have given me the opportunity to prove myself in the team with the run of games I have had.
“I’ve played out on the wing as I have been doing throughout most of my career, I like to get the crosses in and try to find players in the box which I was able to do.
“It’s great that we keep getting the three points, the morale in the team is really high at the moment and it’s a great environment to be a part of.
“We’ve got to finish the season on a big high now, we’re on a good run at the moment and we definitely want to get another three points to finish the season well.
“We’ll be massively up for it, Aberystwyth will be a physical test again as they always are, but we are looking forward to it.”
