Swansea City is delighted to announce that its City Business Network will return for the 2021-22 season.

The City Business Network has been running since the 2017-18 season and its membership numbers have more than doubled during this time.

The City Business Network is an innovative business club that focuses on the local community and creating partnerships within Swansea and the surrounding area. The goal of CBN is to help provide businesses the chance to meet like-minded companies and people who share a passion for business, football and our community. CBN provides a platform for people to share their expertise and knowledge in a relaxed and informal atmosphere through our networking events.

More than networking, CBN enables businesses to enhance your brand through our powerful club assets – advertising, digital and experience.

The 2021-22 season also welcomes Ministry of Furniture as the main sponsor for CBN.

“We’re delighted to be the lead sponsor of the City Business Network events,” said Graham Hirst, chief executive officer of Ministry Group. “With so much happening throughout the region and through the City Deal, our hope is to bring together those in construction, their supply chain and trades.

“Through Swansea City AFC, we think this will be a great forum in which to share knowledge, anticipate projects and demand – and of course collaborate so that local businesses have the prospect of maximising the potential it presents. We’re so excited to be part of people in our business community coming together again.”

The first event of the 2021-22 season will be held at the Liberty Stadium on Friday, August 20 with a 6pm start. The event, entitled ‘New Beginnings’ will see how Swansea City and businesses in the city are now looking to life beyond the coronavirus pandemic.

The event will be hosted by Kevin Johns and club ambassador, Lee Trundle. The networking event will start at 6pm with a drink upon arrival and a one-course meal. Guests will then be entertained as the club’s away fixture against Bristol City will be screened on the video wall in a lounge at the Liberty, with half time refreshments being provided.

City Business Network members will receive this event free of charge, in line with their benefits packages. Any new businesses wishing to attend can do so for a fee of £35 per person.
