Swansea City Women sign goalkeeper Charlie Haynes
Swansea City Women have completed the signing of goalkeeper Charlie Haynes ahead of the 2024-25 season, subject to international clearance and FAW approval.
Haynes, 26, joins the Swans on a semi-professional contract, following her time with Keynsham Town Ladies and will formally join the club when the FAW’s player registration window opens on July 15.
Last season Haynes was named FA Women’s National League Division One south-west player of the season for the 2023-24 campaign, after helping Keynsham secure the Somerset FA Women’s Senior Cup.
The shot-stopper is the Swans first signing under new first-team manager Jamie Sherwood, having previously worked with Sherwood in the Yeovil side that would secure promotion to the Women’s Super League (WSL).
Haynes has also experienced success in beach football, representing Great Britain at the 2019 World Beach Games in Doha.
