Swansea City Women have completed the signing of Aimee Deacon ahead of the 2024-25 Genero Adran Premier campaign.

Deacon, 16, joins the Swans on a semi-professional contract following a short trial period, having departed Barry Town United Women at the conclusion of last season.

The pacy attacker made her top-flight debut for Barry last term at 15, going on to net five goals and provide three assists in all competitions for the Linnets.

Deacon also played for Barry's under-17s, scoring twice in the South Wales Women and Girls’ League Cup final against Swansea City under-17s in a 5-1 win.

The forward is not the only Jack in her family, with her brother Callum Deacon part of Swansea City’s academy.

“Aimee is a young player who has already got a season of experience and game time at this level under her belt, which is an excellent achievement,” said first-team manager Jamie Sherwood.

“She fits our policy of young, hungry and coachable players that are keen on establishing themselves in this league.

“Aimee is a willing player, ready to challenge herself in every aspect, and we have seen that already.

“She is a striker who wants to score goals and put herself in positions to score. Aimee loves to play off the shoulder and get facing the goal as soon as possible.

"On a personal note, it’s great to see her family connections here at Swansea City; with Callum part of the under-18s squad and with Aimee part of the Women’s senior team their parents should be very proud.”
