Swansea City Women sign defender Lauren Davies
Swansea City Women have completed the signing of defender Lauren Davies for the remainder of the 2024-25 Genero Adran Premier campaign.
The right-back joins the Swans from Gwalia United, having played four games for the third-tier English side since joining this summer.
Davies joined Gwalia having been part of the FAW Academy South, playing alongside summer acquisition Maddy Murray and recent arrival Verity Jones, making 20 appearances and providing two assists.
The defender has also received 10 caps for Wales Under-19s, netting her first youth international goal against Moldova in April.
"We are really pleased to get Lauren Davies over the line and really excited to see her go go straight into the match day squad for the game this weekend," said first-team manager Jamie Sherwood.
"Lauren is excellent technically and a real creative tactical mind and even though her stature is smaller her physically ability and personality is huge.
She brings international experience and is a current under-19 international and that brings experience is crucial for us to continue to develop our programme.
"Lauren is a young player with a bright future and we are really pleased we have here."
The 18-year-old will wear the number two shirt for the Swans.
