Game One: Swansea City Women 0 Bridgwater United Women 0

The Swans started brightly in the first of the 35-minute contests, Emily Thomas hitting the crossbar 10 minutes in with a looping effort.

Sophie Brisland-Hancocks also had a chance to put the Swans in front, but she was denied by the Bridghwater goalkeeper.

Captain Katy Hosford was also causing trouble for the Bridgwater defence, her corner delivery forcing the visitong goalkeeper to scramble the ball clear.

The Swans continued to test the Bridgwater defence in the second 35 minutes, a good run from Lucy Finch afforded her time for a low strike that was held by the goalkeeper.

Hosford continued to cause trouble, her low cross from the left flashing across the six-yard box, just ahead of Robyn Pinder at the back post.

Goalkeeper Charlie Haynes was soon called into action in her first game for the Swans with Bridgwater breaking down the left, but the low effort from the visitors was well held by the new signing.

Brisland-Hancocks would then create another opening for herself, finding space on the edge of the box, only for her effort to be held.

Game three: Swansea City Women 2 Bridgwater United Women 1

John-Davis would finally find the first goal of the afternoon in the final 35-minute instalment, bursting down the left before calmly finding the bottom corner.

The Swans would soon double their lead, with trialist A pulling the ball back for trialist B to fire a shot into the top-left corner from the edge of the box.

Bridgwater would respond soon after, winning the ball back in the high up the pitch and capitalising with a smart finish.
