As Swansea City Women prepare to take on Cardiff City Women in the Genero Adra Trophy final on Sunday, we take a look at their journey to the final at the SDM Glass Stadium.

The Swans are seeking to lift the trophy for a third time, as they face Genero Adran Premier champions Cardiff  - who are looking to capture the trophy for the first time in what is their fourth-consecutive final.

December 3, 2023 – Llandudno Ladies 0 Swansea City Women 13 – Round of 16

The Swans began their Genero Adran Trophy campaign with a long trip to Llandudno, with Emily Thomas firing five past the north Wales outfit in an emphatic victory.

Chloe Chivers, Robyn Pinder and Stacey John-Davis all added braces for the Swans in the dominant performance.

Captain Katy Hosford and defender Jess Williams were also on the scoresheet to book the Swans place in the quarter-finals.

January 7, 2024 – Swansea City Women 5 Cardiff Met Women 0 – Quarter-Final

A five-star performance saw the Swans win their first game of 2024 and reach the semi-finals as they eased past Cardiff Met.

Katy Hosford opened the scoring for the Swans, turning in the area before producing a cool finish.

Stacey John-Davis doubled the lead from the spot after Hosford was brought down in the box, before Robyn Pinder’s stunning strike made it 3-0 just before the break.

A second-half double from Chloe Chivers would round off the scoring, with the midfielder dispatching a calm finish past the keeper before adding her second from distance just four minutes later.

February 25, 2024 – The New Saints Women 1 Swansea City Women 5 – Semi-Final

Stacey John-Davis scored a hat-trick as Swansea City Women booked their place in the Genero Adran Trophy final with a handsome win over The New Saints Women. 

Emily Thomas opened the scoring with a headed effort after just six minutes, before Sammy Wynne doubled Swansea’s advantage with a stunning strike from distance.

John-Davis made it three just before the break, and went on to add a fantastic quickfire double in the second half to complete her treble.

TNS would pull one back late on, Chelsea Herbert making a double save before Chloe Shirley found the net, but it was nothing more than a consolation for the hosts.
