Development Pathway Round-Up Jasmine Guymer

In our latest women’s pathway round-up, Swansea City Under-19s suffered a first defeat of the season, whilst the under-17s made it back-to-back wins.

UNDER-19s

Having won four of their first five games of the season, the under-19s were flying high in the Genero Adran South, but a 6-2 defeat to Cardiff City brought an end to their unbeaten start.

The Swans fell behind after just three minutes, Emillia Ashun putting the visitors in front, but Jasmine Guymer responded with an equaliser just nine minutes later.

But it wouldn’t take long for Cardiff to restore their lead, Mali Ackerman found the back of the net, before turning provider for Paige Parsons just three minutes later to make it 3-1.

Guymer would again be on hand for the Swans as she halved the deficit before the break with her second goal of the evening.

But the visitors would pull away in the second half. Seren Thomas-Condon made it 4-2, before Danielle Green - who has plenty of experience at senior level for the Bluebirds - added her side's fifth.

Substitute Brooke Arthur made it 6-2 in added time to complete the win and hand the Swans a first loss of the season.

UNDER-17S

Swansea City Under-17s returned to action after three weeks without a game, but made it back-to-back wins for the first time this season with an 18-0 victory over Ystradgynlais.

The Swans lead by six at the break, with Robyn Preece, Gracie Howard, and Esmee Kennelly all netting first-half braces.

Howard would find the net twice more in the second half, with Libby Hayhurst and Ellie Gibbins also hitting hat-tricks.

There were two goals for Alix Green, with Evie Clark and Mollie Jones also on the scoresheet to take the Swans up to fourth in the table, with three games in hand on leaders Briton Ferry Llansawel.
