Swansea City Women Under-19s picked up a first win of 2024 whilst the under-17s extended their lead at the top of the table in a strong weekend for the development pathway sides.
Three second-half goals earned the under-19s the three points against their Aberyswyth Town counterparts on Friday as they secured a 3-0 victory in the Genero Adran Under-19s South.
After a first half that saw chances for both sides, the Swans got the breakthrough 58 minutes in as Jasmine Guymer netted her third goal in as many games.
From there the Swans took control of the fixture, with Lily Owen doubling their lead just eight minutes later, cutting onto her right foot before curling in an excellent strike.
The Swans weren’t done there as captain Rhian Williams added a third goal six minutes later, converting Owen’s corner with a volley to wrap up the win.
The under-19s wore the club's distinctive pink third kit during the fixture to mark World Cancer Day and Swansea City's support of official charity partner, Maggie's.
The under-17s, meanwhile picked up an important 5-1 win over second-placed Barry Town United Women in the South Wales Women's and Girls' League Division One.
The Swans handed their opponents a first defeat of the season and maintained their perfect run to make it 12 wins from 12.
Barry went ahead just before half-time, but the young Swans responded in style with three goals in the space of six minutes putting them firmly in control of the contest.
Florence Tarrant levelled the scores 10 minutes after the break, before a brace from Katie Rowles put the Swans in front.
Substitutes Ellie Gibbins and Grace John netted late on to seal to put Swansea nine points clear of their visitors, who have two games in hand.
