Swansea City Women’s under-19s and under-17s have returned to action with both sides looking to build on strong ends to 2023.

The under-19s – who compete in the Genero Adran Under-19s South division – picked up a first point of 2024 as they drew 2-2 away at Cardiff Met Women Under-19s.

The Swans found themselves behind early as Ruby Colleton netted just eight minutes into the game.

But just five minutes later the Swans were level, Ellie Latronico’s fifth goal of the season giving the Swans the perfect response.

Cardiff Met would regain the lead just before half-time, Colleton finding the net once again to send the Archers into the break with the lead.

But the Swans fought back, Jasmine Guymer scoring the second Swansea equaliser on 70 minutes to earn a hard-fought point for her side.

Swansea City Under-17s continued their South West Wales Women’s and Girls’ Under-17s Division One campaign and maintained their perfect run to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points with a 5-1 win against Tredegar.

The young Swans are yet to drop a point this season, but were given an early shock as their hosts went ahead after just four minutes; and they held that one-goal advantage at the interval.

But five second-half goals secured the three points for the visitors.

Sophia Bevan scored a 50th-minute leveller before Katie Rowles put the Swans in front just six minutes later.

Hollie Tang, top scorer Florence Tarrant and Efa Nicolas Vardill all added to the Swansea tally. For Tarrant it was a 19th goal of the season, while Rowles found the back of the net for the 11th time.
