Swansea City wait on Josh Key and Liam Cullen ahead of Sheffield Wednesday game
Swansea City are waiting on the fitness of Josh Key and Liam Cullen ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Sheffield Wednesday.
Key and Cullen were forced off during the midweek draw with Queens Park Rangers, with fatigue and ankle issues respectively.
Ollie Cooper is suspended following his red card at Loftus Road, while Joe Allen, Kyle Naughton, Liam Walsh and Nathanael Ogbeta are injury absentees.
“We are still counting the bodies after Tuesday night, we will have a better idea a bit later to see how the lads are coming through,” said head coach Michael Duff.
“I don’t think there was anything serious to come out of the other night. Josh Key was fatigued, while we took Jamal Lowe and Josh Ginnelly off as they are still getting up to speed in terms of fitness.
“With Culls we are hoping that’s just a knock.
“The main worry is Joe Allen in terms of how long he will be out, we cannot put a timeline on it yet.
“He has two or three options and it’s up to him which path he chooses. There’s lots to weigh up for him.”
