Swansea City wait for injury news on Nathan Wood and Josh Ginnelly
Swansea City head coach Michael Duff hopes the injuries suffered by Nathan Wood and Josh Ginnelly against Sheffield Wednesday will not prove to be serious.
Defender Wood and midfielder Ginnelly were forced off during the first half of the Swans’ 3-0 win over the Owls at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Swans boss Duff believes Wood suffered an ankle sprain in the opening minutes, but says the players will need to undergo scans before the severity of their injuries can be determined.
“With Woody, it just looks like an ankle sprain but until we get it scanned we won’t know how significant it is,” he said.
“He is in a boot as a precaution, so we will wait and see.
“With Josh, I don’t know, there was no-one near him which does not look great.
“But until we get the results of the scans from the medics, we won’t know.”
