Swansea City are waiting on the fitness of Myles Peart-Harris ahead of Saturday’s Championship fixture against Middlesbrough, after he suffered a back injury against Preston.

The attacking midfielder was forced off towards the end of the first half of the goalless draw at Deepdale, having landed awkwardly following a challenge.

The Swans are awaiting results of scans to determine the severity of the problem, but caretaker head coach Alan Sheehan says it is too early to say if he will be available for Saturday’s game.

“Myles has gone for a scan, and we are waiting on the results. We hope it’s not too serious as he gives us something different to other players in the squad," he said.

“We will have to wait and see, hopefully we will know more in the next 24 hours.

“Obviously the game and travelling in midweek means we are waiting to see how people shape up, and we have a few bumps and bruises, but we will see where we are at.”

Sheehan also confirmed that Kristian Pedersen is a number of weeks off full fitness after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury.
