Swansea City Under-19s FAW Youth Cup Llanidloes
8th November
Swansea City Under-19s are through to the third round of the FAW Youth Cup after a dominating 11-1 win over Mid Wales side Llanidloes Town at Landore on Sunday.
Coaches Eric Ramsay and Chris Llewellyn included a mix of youth an experience in the team with 15-year-old goalkeeper Alex Lang joining development players Keston Davies, Adnan Maric, Owain Jones and Kyle Copp in the starting XI.
The young Swans broke the deadlock after just five minutes when midfielder Marco Dulca headed home a corner before frontman Owain Jones doubled the lead on 22 minutes.
A spirited Llanidloes pegged a goal back minutes later when defender Keegan Bradley took advantage of a poor clearance from a free-kick into the box to head into an empty net.
Despite the Daffodils' fighting spirit the U19s took control of the game in the second-half when 16-year-old winger Causso Darame beat the defence to run onto a through ball to round the keeper for the Swans' third.
Good link-up play down the right flank from Darame helped substitute Liam Cullen fire four goals in the second-half.
Darame added a second with Kyle Copp and Jordan Jones also netting for the Swans before a 30 yard rocket from Tom Holland in the 89th minute rounded off an 11-1 thrashing at Landore.
