Swansea City to sponsor Child of Wales Awards

Swansea City is delighted to sponsor The Child of Wales Awards which will take place in Cardiff in March 2023.

The awards were created to recognise and celebrate the incredible achievements of children and young people who face hardships and challenges every day across Wales, while also raising money for the charities that support them.

These incredible individuals deserve to be recognised for their inspirational attitude towards life.

The awards dinner will take place on Friday, March 24 at Mercure Holland House hotel in Cardiff and once again it will be one of the most glamorous, high-profile events in the charity calendar, with the attendance of many media personalities, celebrities and sports stars, along with performances from some astonishing international entertainers.

Covering every part of Wales, the categories will award outstanding personal courage, bravery, sporting and creative achievements; and also recognise the children who help others – championing causes in their communities, protecting the environment, caring for others and fundraising.

Swansea City chief executive Julian Winter said: “We are delighted to sponsor the Community Champion award at next year’s Child of Wales Awards.

“Our club is very much about supporting and empowering our community, and it’s always inspiring to see the next generation of young people and children leading the way.

“We are really looking forward to the awards, and to meeting all the deserving recipients.”
