Swansea City sign Falkirk defender Stephen Kingsley

30th June

Swansea City has completed the signing of highly-rated defender Stephen Kingsley from Scottish side Falkirk.
The 19-year-old left-back completed a medical at the Liberty Stadium today and signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Kingsley, who turns 20 next month, has already made over 100 appearances for the Scottish Championship outfit after coming through the Academy ranks to make his senior debut as a 16-year-old.
A regular in the first team for the last three years, the Scottish Under-18 and U19 international was also voted in to last season's SPFL Championship Team of the Year.
Described by Falkirk as: "Another great talent who has exploded onto the scene, Stephen possesses a great engine which gets him up and down the flanks."
Kingsley joins fellow Falkirk youngster, Jay Fulton, who made the move to the Liberty midway through last season. The 20-year-old midfielder quickly impressed manager Garry Monk on the training ground and made his first Barclays Premier League appearance as a substitute in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa back in April, before making his first senior start in the final game of the season at Sunderland.
