Swansea City seal deal for Florian Bianchini
Swansea City has completed the signing of Florian Bianchini from SC Bastia for an undisclosed fee, subject to visa approval and international clearance.
The 23-year-old has signed a four-year contract through to the summer of 2028 in SA1. He will wear the number 19 shirt for the Swans, and is available for Sunday’s south Wales derby.
The pacy forward will add to head coach Luke Williams’ options in the final third, and provide competition for places in advanced areas with the Swans boss having spoken of his desire for exciting wing play to be part of the identity of the team he is building.
“Florian is very dynamic, he can play on both sides,” said Williams.
“He is very sure-footed, is comfortable with his right and his left foot.
“He has a natural flair and can beat players, and he wants to go at the goal.
“He is a player who can give us a lot of options. He will need a little bit of time to see where he is at, and then to adapt with the intensity of the training, the volume of running and sprint distances.
“So we will look to make sure we get him up to speed, and help him as much as we can, but he looks like a really good fit.”
Bianchini, a France Under-19 international, made his senior breakthrough with Amiens, and had loan spells with Avranches and Chateauroux before making the move to Bastia last summer.
He scored five goals and set up six more in 28 appearances in Ligue 2 last term.
