Swansea City recall Morgan Whittaker from Plymouth loan spell
Swansea City has recalled Morgan Whittaker from his loan spell at Plymouth Argyle.
The 21-year-old joined the Pilgrims on a season-long loan last summer, and had enjoyed an outstanding first half of the season at Home Park.
Whittaker has nine goals and seven assists in 27 appearances this season, and he was named League One player of the month for September.
The forward joined the Swans from Derby in February 2021, having come through the academy ranks at Pride Park.
Whittaker scored his first goal in all competitions for the Swans just nine days after joining during an FA Cup tie with Manchester City.
His first league goal came against his former club Derby, helping Swansea to a 2-1 victory in May 2021.
He also scored the first hat-trick by a Swansea player in over a decade when netting a treble against Plymouth in the Carabao Cup in August 2021.
Whittaker went on to have a productive spell on loan at Lincoln over the second half of last term, before making his temporary move to Plymouth this season.
