Swansea City raise £4,369 for Royal British Legion's Football Poppy Shirt Campaign
Swansea City would like to thank supporters for helping to raise £4,369 for the Royal British Legion's (RBL's) Poppy Appeal, alongside Match Worn Shirt.
The shirts worn by the men's first team in our remembrance fixture against Watford in November were put up for auction post-match, and made available for fans to support this year's campaign. Nathan Tjoe-A-On's shirt fetched the highest amount with a winning bid of £355.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Match Worn Shirt has teamed up with the Royal British Legion, having previously raised close to £3m for the Poppy Appeal.
Every year the RBL leads the nation in Remembrance across the UK to honour the contribution of our Armed Forces community, past and present. Every donation to the RBL’s Poppy Appeal helps to provide vital support to the Armed Forces community, and ensures their unique contribution is never forgotten.
