Swansea City monitoring Hannes Wolf's fitness ahead of Peterborough trip
Technical development coach Matt Gill confirmed Swansea City are monitoring the fitness of Hannes Wolf ahead of the trip to London Road to face Peterborough United on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old returned to training with the group on Monday, but no final decision has been taken on his availability as he continues his recovery from Covid-19.
Nathanael Ogbeta and Kyle Joseph, who both featured in the under-23s’ 5-1 victory over QPR in the Professional Development League at the Swansea.com Stadium on Monday afternoon, will also be involved in the squad on Wednesday.
Ogbeta has been nursing a hamstring injury since arriving in SA1 but made his Swans debut on the weekend at Blackpool, replacing Korey Smith in the 64th minute.
“We’re looking pretty well, the lads reported back in on Monday and we’re pretty good health-wise,” Gill said.
“Hannes has been back in with the group, which is great. We’re keeping an eye on him and we’ll see how he feels after training, but it’s something we’ll closely monitor.
“He’s a fit boy, so hopefully we’ll have him in with the squad on Wednesday.
“Luckily, he was symptom free and feeling pretty good. He trained really well on Monday, so that’s a big positive for us.
“For the other lads, there’s a balancing act between training and games, but we felt with Nat coming back from injury and Kyle trying to make an impact off the bench, they needed some game time.
“It turned out to be excellent for them starting in the under-23s.”
