Swansea City midfielder Dan Williams makes TNS loan move
Swansea City midfielder Dan Williams has joined The New Saints on loan for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.
The 21-year-old links up with the Cymru Premier champions as they seek to defend their Welsh top-flight title.
The move comes following Williams’ recovery from an ankle injury, which cut short a loan spell with Irish top-flight side Dundalk.
Williams impressed when handed his first-team bow for the Swans in the Carabao Cup games against Reading and Plymouth last season, winning praise from head coach Russell Martin.
He has also been a regular for the club’s under-23s and Wales Under-21s, whilst training with the first team for the majority of the last three seasons.
Williams has been with the Swans since under-eight level. The central midfielder, whose father Nigel was also a scholar in SA1, progressed through the youth ranks before signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2019.
Everyone at Swansea City wishes Dan every success during his loan spell.
