Swansea City loan watch | January and February 2024

There were dream debuts for both Nathanael Ogbeta and Lincoln Mcfayden with the duo both on the scoresheet for their new clubs after sealing loan moves to Bolton Wanderers and Penybont.

Ogbeta found the the net within two minutes of his introduction as a substitute, sealing a 4-1 victory over Carlisle United, before being handed his first start for Wanderers in their Bristol Street Motors Trophy clash against Blackpool.

The 22-year-old was named in the starting line-up for Bolton's League One tie against Cambridge United on Tuesday, but the fixture was abandoned after just 10 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.

Mcfayden, meanwhile, played out the full 90 minutes against Colwyn Bay alongside former Swan, Shaun MacDonald.

The left-back capped off his Penybont debut with their second goal for on the hour mark, finding the net with a sliding left-footed finish.

Kristian Pedersen joined fellow Championship side Sheffield Wednesday late on deadline day, and the Dane was named in the Owls' starting line-up for their 4-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Nineteen-year-old Harry Jones made the loan switch to National League South side Weymouth on , and went straight into the starting XI as the former Arsenal youth player got 55 minutes under his belt as they came from behind to beat Hemel Hempstead 4-3 in a thriller at the Bob Lucas Stadium. 

Ben Blythe has continued to impress for Barry Town United. The 22-year-old made his debut against Pontypridd United back in September.

Since then the former Doncaster Rovers defender has been an ever-present in the JD Cymru Premier.

He was named in the Cymru Leagues' team of the week after scoring two goals and claiming an assist in Barry's 4-0 win over Newtown on January 6.
