Swansea City Ladies sign Megan Saunders from Cardiff City Women

Swansea City Ladies have added forward Megan Saunders to their squad.

Saunders joins the Swans from Cardiff City Women, having netted three goals and provided two assists for the Bluebirds this season.

The forward contributed a crucial goal for the Bluebirds this season, scoring an 89th minute winner in her side’s 1-0 win over Barry Town United Women.

Saunders is excited to get started with the Swans and hopes that she can help give her side the edge in the Genero Adran Premier title race.

“I’m really excited to have a new challenge with the Swans and I’m excited for a new environment. I’m here to help the team chase for the title,” said Saunders.

“I like to play in between the lines and I look to break in behind to create goalscoring opportunities for me and for my team.

“I’ll be working hard for the team and I’ve got real motivation to help the girls chase for that title.

“I’m confident that we can get it done, Cardiff are ahead at the moment but there is still everything to play for in phase two of the season.

“I’m buzzing to face off against Cardiff again, hopefully it will be a good game and I’ll see if I can net myself a goal.”
