Swansea City recently held its 'City Revival' City Business Network event, hosted by Kevin Johns MBE, bringing together local business leaders and community members for an inspiring day of updates, presentations, and networking.

The City Business Network event, sponsored by H3 Group, aimed to highlight the city's resurgence and the collaborative efforts driving its ongoing transformation. Held at the newly refurbished Princess Quarter in the heart of Swansea, the event showcased a number of exciting developments poised to energise the local economy.

The morning began with a guided tour of the Princess Quarter, Kartay’s contemporary multi-purpose development, offering attendees an up-close view of the refurbishment that’s part of Swansea’s broader revitalisation initiative.

The event featured engaging presentations from key leaders involved in Swansea's regeneration including Rob Stewart, leader of the City and County of Swansea, who provided insights into ongoing and upcoming projects, underscoring the importance of a unified approach in enhancing the city’s appeal as a hub for business and tourism.

Director of Kartay, Westacres and Morganstone, Ian Morgan, discussed the role of the private sector in Swansea’s revitalisation, sharing updates on new residential and commercial spaces that are reshaping the cityscape.

Whilst hotel manager at Morgans Hotel, Kate Bowen, spoke on the importance of hospitality in Swansea’s revival, highlighting new initiatives to enhance visitor experiences and promote local tourism, along with upcoming projects with the Swansea.com and The Morgans Collection.

Following the presentations, attendees were invited to continue discussions at a grazing lunch buffet held at the iconic Morgans Hotel. The lunch provided a relaxed setting for networking, allowing business leaders and community members to share ideas, discuss potential partnerships, and further the momentum of Swansea's urban renewal.

The City Revival event was a powerful reminder of the strides Swansea is making towards a brighter future, strengthened by the active involvement of its local community and business leaders. As Swansea continues to transform and thrive, the city looks forward to future events that showcase its progress and foster collaboration across sectors.
