Swansea City to host open training session and family fun day
Swansea City will host an open training session and family fun day next week to allow fans to get a glimpse of Michael Duff’s players in action and meet some of their heroes.
The session, which will be free to attend, will be held at the Swansea.com Stadium on Tuesday, August 22.
As well as watching the players train, there will be a fan zone in operation which will play host to a fun fair, a stage compered by Kev Johns MBE, question and answer sessions with former players, competitions, and a live performance from local band The Hat and the Fiddle.
There will also be a range of food and drink options available, and the club shop will be open from 10am.
The training session, which begins at 10.45am, is scheduled to last for approximately one hour, and players will also be signing autographs for fans afterwards.
Entry is free, however supporters will need to claim their ticket by clicking the link below.
Please note that the attendance will be capped at 5,000 for this event, and under-14s must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry.
The open training session will form part of the build-up to the Swans’ trip to Preston on August 26, and will be an ideal way to keep Junior Jacks occupied during the school holidays.
Turnstiles will open at 10am. There will be unreserved seating in the West Stand so get down early to avoid disappointment.
After the training session, the fun fair will open at midday in the West Stand car park with live music, food and drink, and a range of activations from the likes of Superbowl UK, Pure Football and the Swansea City AFC Foundation.
Please note a valid ticket will be needed to access the fun fair rides.
Parking will be available in the North car park for this event, with access only available via the ramp on the A4067.
There are a limited number of accessibility parking spaces available. Please call the ticket office to book one on 01792 616400 and select Option 1.
