Swansea City head coach Paul Clement believes Luciano Narsingh can make a big impact
Paul Clement reckons Luciano Narsingh has the calibre to make an impact at Swansea City.
Dutch international Narsingh has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty Stadium after the Swans agreed a £4million deal with PSV Eindhoven.
The club had been considering a move for the winger before Clement took charge at the Liberty nine days ago.
But the new Swans boss was happy to give the Narsingh deal his blessing having come up against the 26-year-old in the past.
"I am very pleased that Luciano has joined us," Clement said.
"He is a player the club had identified before I arrived but I was more than happy for the deal to go ahead.
"We came up against him at Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
"He scored a wonderful goal in the game we played against PSV in Eindhoven.
"He has pace, he can score goals and he has experience of playing at a good level. He has been Dutch champion a couple of times and he has played Champions League football. He is a player with good calibre."
Narsingh will not feature against Arsenal this weekend after picking up a slight calf injury in his final days at PSV.
But the former Heerenveen player should soon be ready to make his debut.
A wideman who is happiest on the right flank but can operate on the left, Narsingh will compete with the likes of Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer, Jefferson Montero and Modou Barrow for game-time in SA1.
