Swansea City to dedicate Saturday's matchday to Swansea Bay Health Charity's Cwtsh Clos Appeal

Swansea City is dedicating Saturday's match against Blackburn Rovers to the amazing work of the club’s official charity partner for the 2024-25 season; the Swansea Bay Health Charity’s Cwtsh Clos Appeal.
The Swans will be lining up in bespoke, one-off home shirts bearing the charity’s logo. These match-worn and match-issued shirts will be available to bid on in an auction which will start at kick-off, with all money raised going to the charity.
Once live, supporters can bid on the shirts via THIS link with the auction concluding at 7pm on March 4.
Volunteers from the charity will be holding a bucket collection around the ground and the club will be fund-matching donations via the bucket collection up to the value of £2,000, so if you are able, please give generously to the campaign.
Fans can also donate online via the link below.
Lounge host, musician and Swans fan Mal Pope launched the partnership in July of last year as he shared the story of his grandson Gulliver; who sadly passed away following a short spell at the Singleton Hospital Neo-Natal Unit.
You can view his story here.
As well as his Swans connections, Pope is an ambassador for the Cwtsh Clos appeal which is raising funds for the refurbishment of five homes that are used by the families of sick and tiny babies in Singleton Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The houses provide a home away from home for the families of babies being treated in the intensive care unit, allowing them to stay nearby during what is an extremely difficult and stressful time for them.
That’s especially the case when, like Swans fans, the families come from all parts of south and west Wales and travelling times and accommodation costs can add to the stress they’re experiencing.
Cwtsh Clos – the row of five two-bedroom houses located in the grounds of Singleton Hospital - provides these families with a space to call their own as they bond with and help care for their vulnerable new babies. The alternative might be months-long stays in hotels, or long, daily drives.
