Swansea City are backing a new initiative to help provide free football boots to kids and young adults in the community.

Called The Boot Room, the idea was thought up by local Swans fan Carl Bradley in a bid to help families struggling to finance football boots for their children.

With football boots proving extremely expensive to purchase, it was also preventing many youngsters from participating in the game they love.

But Carl has come to the rescue and received backing from the Swans and many local businesses who are acting as drop off points for the boots.

The Swans now have a drop off point at the Liberty Stadium club shop for supporters to drop off any unwanted football boots in good condition. All sizes are welcome for children and young adults.

The club is also looking to work with Carl and The Boot Room on a long-term basis to provide the support he needs and establish a forthcoming collection point.

All donated football boots can be dropped off at the club shop between 10am and 5pm.

If you are a parent or child in need of boots, or feel you can assist Carl with his worthy project, please contact Carl on Facebook HERE.
