Swansea City announce new partnership with Dyfed Recycling
Swansea City AFC is delighted to announce a new partnership with Dyfed Recycling which will see the club’s sites become greener and more sustainable by improving its waste management.
The partnership will see Dyfed Recycling take over the waste disposal from Swansea.com Stadium, Fairwood Training Ground and Landore Academy Training Ground.
From April 6, the Welsh Government is introducing this law to improve the quality and quantity of how waste is collected and separated. It is an important step towards reaching zero waste, reducing the country’s carbon emissions and tackling the climate emergency.
Dyfed Recycling are working hard to find ways to meet and exceed the new regulations and the partnership with Swansea City will ensure the club’s sites are also at the forefront of change.
Simon Morris, manager of Dyfed Recycling Services, said: “We are honoured to work in partnership with Swansea City AFC to assist with all their waste disposal requirements.
“Our team is committed to delivering exceptional services that support the club's values of sustainability and community involvement. Together, we look forward to making a positive impact while meeting the upcoming legislative changes with efficiency and expertise."
Lee Merrells, head of partnerships at Swansea City, added: “We are delighted to have Dyfed Recycling onboard providing our Waste Management services.
“This is another example of the clubs continued commitment to working with local businesses. Their expertise and excellent service in this sector will be invaluable as the club deal with the new rules and regulations surrounding recycling of waste.”
