Swansea City and Gambia winger Modou Barrow makes Blackburn Rovers loan move
10th August
Young Swansea City winger Modou Barrow has today completed a three-month loan switch to Blackburn Rovers.
The Gambian international will immediately join up with Gary Bowyer's squad, who are preparing to face Shrewsbury Town in the Capital One Cup at Ewood Park on Tuesday night.
Barrow joined the Swans last summer from Swedish side Ostersunds, making his debut off the bench in an impressive display in the 2-1 win over Arsenal last November.
The 22-year-old, who earned his first Gambia cap against South Africa in June 2015, made 13 appearances for the Swans last season while he scored his first goal in the FA Cup win over Tranmere.
Barrow, who signed a new four-year contract in January, played against Blackburn last season in the FA Cup defeat at Ewood Park, while he went on to play four games on loan at Championship side Nottingham Forest.
