Swans wait for Olsson news
Paul Clement is waiting for news on Martin Olsson after the left-back limped out of Swansea City’s Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester United.
Jesse Lingard scored twice as United sealed what in the end was a comfortable 2-0 victory at the Liberty Stadium.
And there was more bad news for the Swans as Olsson, the one senior left-back in Clement’s squad, was forced off in the first half with a hamstring problem.
Should Olsson be ruled out of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Arsenal, Clement will be forced to deploy either Kyle Naughton or Sam Clucas on the left side of his defence.
“I don’t know yet about Martin – I haven’t spoken to him or to the medical staff,” said the Swans manager.
“We will look at that when we get in tomorrow morning.
“If he isn’t okay for the weekend, we have the option of playing Naughton or Clucas can fit into that position.”
