Swans team up with Eteach
12th August
Swansea City has teamed up with Eteach to give the club's development centres and school initiatives a major boost.
Eteach, the UK's leading online education recruitment service for teachers, school leaders and support staff, will sponsor the growing pre-Academy set-up and school projects for the next two years.
The club has a number of development centres and soccer schools throughout the city and beyond where children of both sexes can enjoy playing football and improve their skills under the guidance of qualified coaches in a fun and healthy way.
It is also the perfect avenue to discover talented youngsters and provide them with a clear path to the full Academy set-up and join the likes of Joe Allen, Ben Davies, Jazz Richards, David Cornell, Josh Sheehan and Shaun MacDonald, who have all progressed to the first team via the club's youth ranks.
The Swans are also extremely active in the local schools through the hard work of the Swans Community Trust and the new Eteach deal will enable them to develop and expand their popular projects and initiatives.
Nigel Rees, Academy Manager, said: "This is an exciting new deal for Swans Development and our school projects here at the club.
"Over the last 12 months the Development Centre has done so much to help train the next generation of football talent. To secure a major sponsorship deal like this is testament to that success.''
Eteach works with over 6,000 schools, academies and colleges. Last year it advertised 45,000 education vacancies to its 754,000 registered candidates, who make 5,000,000 job searches and 700,000 site visits each month.
Eteach was founded in 2000 by Paul Howells, a former teacher and leading campaigner for online recruitment. Since then its unique combination of cutting-edge online technology and in-depth knowledge of the education sector has been providing an immediate, low cost alternative to traditional newspaper recruitment advertising.
