Swans' success at Hospitality & Events awards

Swansea City scooped two prestigious awards - including the evening's top prize - at the 2019 Stadium Events & Hospitality awards on Thursday night.

Over 50 events and hospitality teams from football and rugby club venues across the UK and Ireland were in attendance at the awards evening, which was held at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium.

All of the award categories were judged independently by industry experts and the Swans came out on top in the award for Matchday Hospitality at a Medium Sized Stadium - classed as a venue having between 1,001 and 2,000 hospitality seats - beating off competition from Brighton and Aston Villa in the process.

The club also secured the event's top award for Overall Matchday Hospitality 2019, which pitches all clubs against each other regardless of size to find an overall winner. Manchester United and Watford received the silver and bronze awards.

A Swans spokesperson said: “We are so delighted to receive this honour. We’ve always delivered our hospitality with our guest’s experiences in mind. To receive this recognition is fantastic."
