Swans shortlisted for Sports Business Awards
Swansea City have been shortlisted for the prestigious Sports Business Awards for the first time.
The Swans have been selected as a finalist in the Sports Tech of the Year category in the 2018 awards for their Official Swans App, which was launched this season in partnership with the club's App Digital Agency, Other Media.
It is a major accolade for the club as the awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of individuals and teams who make sporting achievements possible and ensure the business of sport, in all its various forms, happens successfully.
The Swans, who are the only football club shortlisted in the Tech category, have also been shortlisted in the Sports Technology Awards 2018 for “Best Technology in Athlete Welfare” and “Best Technology in Fan Engagement”.
The club were the first football club in the UK to launch in-app ticketing earlier this year and have many more plans to develop the technologies available to fans.
The 2018 Sports Business Awards shortlist features all facets of the sports sectors in the UK, with the finalists announced in London on June 1.
