Swans Foundation latest FIT Jacks cohort lose over 80kg
Swansea City AFC Foundation’s latest FIT Jacks participants have celebrated a combined 86.8 kilogram weight loss over the 12-week programme.
Club ambassador Lee Trundle joined the group for their end-of-term celebration event, having completed a schedule that saw them take part in physical activity, as well as learning about the importance of nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.
The final week of the initiative saw the participants take their final measurements, with the aggregate figures showing a total loss of 86.8kgs, and a 239.5cm reduction in waist size.
The FIT Jacks scheme, which is soon to be expanded out into the wider community after receiving additional funding, also encourages social interaction and provides advice on next steps.
“It was a great opportunity to celebrate the progress the participants have made, both individually and as a group," said Caroline Gwilym, Swansea City AFC Foundation’s head of health and wellbeing.
“To have everyone together sharing their stories and seeing the connections they have made was exciting and bodes well for their future after the programme.
“They have all put in a lot of effort throughout the programme and supported each other as well, so we feel privileged and proud to have been able to work with them through it.”
