Swans boss Williams praises attributes of Josh Tymon following two-assist showing
Head coach Luke Williams praised the performance of Josh Tymon after the wing-back set-up both Swansea City goals in the 2-2 draw at Birmingham City.
Tymon’s corner allowed Harry Darling to power home a header and give the Swans a first-half lead at St Andrew’s.
Then, after Siriki Dembele had levelled, his pinpoint cross was turned home by Jamal Lowe to finish off a sweeping move from the visitors.
A late strike from Jordan James ensured the spoils were shared, but Williams believes the former Stoke defender brings valuable attributes and options to his team.
"I really liked the move for the second goal, and Josh really does have so much power," he said.
"He really can hit a dead-ball and he has the quality to hit a ball on the move, as well.
"He generates real power and that's a great attribute to have."
Williams also praised the work of head of goalkeeping Martyn Margetson and assistant head coach Alan Sheehan on set-pieces, with Swansea’s first goal coming from an attacking dead-ball and the visitors then having to deal with a flurry of deliveries into their box as the game went on.
"These guys are different class. The work they do is incredible," said Williams.
"Alan Sheehan made all the set-pieces and the guys really concentrated on the detail, and it helped us go in front.
"We also had to defend a number of set-pieces and we defended them very well because of these two guys and what they bring to the club."
