Swans boss Williams pleased by "bright" return for Jisung Eom
Luke Williams was pleased to see Jisung Eom come through his return from injury against Portsmouth, and believes the South Korea international’s comeback is a timely boost to the Swansea City squad ahead of a busy festive period.
Eom had been sidelined since suffering a knee injury while on international duty in October, but was introduced for the final 25 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Pompey.
He was immediately involved in setting up a chance, and was then off target as he arrived to meet a cutback in the box.
And Williams was encouraged to see the attacking midfielder make an impression, as they prepare for a hectic run of games over Christmas and into the New Year.
“I thought Jisung looked really bright and lively when he came on,” said the Swansea head coach.
“We are delighted to have him back, he definitely helps to make us a stronger squad.
“So it’s really good news that we have him back. We have got him through the first game back, which is always a bit nervy as you bring players back in.
“He has come through fine and we are stronger for having him available again.”
