Steve Cooper | Away form shows our belief
Head coach Steve Cooper believes Swansea City’s excellent away form is an indication of the belief in his squad.
The Swans moved to the top of the Championship as they maintained their unbeaten record on the road this season with a 2-1 win over Charlton at The Valley on Wednesday night.
They have now won three and drawn two from their five away fixtures, beating QPR, Leeds and Charlton while sharing the spoils with Derby and Bristol City.
Overall, it is now seven away games unbeaten in the Championship, which follows on the back of a run of seven-straight defeats.
And Cooper feels that turnaround shows the confidence the whole first-team set-up has in the work being put in at the training ground and during the games themselves.
“Our away performances have definitely warranted the points we have picked up, and it tells you everything about the belief we have in what we are doing and how we want to play,” he said.
“It can be tough in some of these atmospheres and stadiums, so to be able to withstand that is a good sign and we have to take it forward.”
